VI Committee & Liaison Reports:

a. Grant updates: Maxine said the Senior Center is a worthy cause and she has a good working group. She has a person from a small farm in Chelmsford who be coming in to assist her after the harvest. Also, the anniversary of 911, 25 years will be coming up this year. Maxine also said that someone cleaned up the decorations in the craft room and put them all on the art side. Frank asked if we need more storage room, Kim said yes, we do. We receive a lot of donations for the Health Unit which includes walkers, wheelchairs and other medical equipment, but we are running out of room there also. Kim would like a Kiosk, but where can we put it? Many times Maxine does not have a seat for someone in her classes. There is a demand for more room. Walgreens is still pending and there is not enough parking. Maxine said that there are 26,000 seniors in the city over the age of 60 who vote and the Senior Center has to be known for good and not negative reasons. The Senior Center is short staffed and no funding. Dick said that the TV's we used to have were a nice set-up and the Center is used for warming and cooling days. Kim said that we do not own the building and we need someone for tech. support. The question was asked about the cameras, when Kim and Aurora are not here who is in charge of them?
